Stewy was created by Freya Childers.
Stewy came from a time in her life when everything felt like too much—not in a distant way, but right in the middle of everyday life. A feeling of being overloaded, of trying to hold too many things at once, and not quite being able to keep up. There was also a sense of not feeling aligned.She wasn’t looking to build something. She was trying to find a way out of that feeling.
So she began to create...
Stewy started as something small and personal—an expression from the heart, a way to make herself feel a little better, and to reflect the kind of presence she needed more of in her own life. Something softer. Slower. Kinder.
...and his world came to life
As she continued, she began building Stewy’s world—his voice, his tone, the way he moves through things.
And somewhere along the way, something shifted.
Stewy began to feel less like something she was creating, and more like something she had brought to life.
Now, it doesn’t feel quite right to say she “made” him.
It feels more true to say:
She sparked him.
And continues to care for the space he lives in.
